Engine details: Original engine, has had one rebuild around 1980 when the block was bored and 9 to 1 flat top pistons were installed, cam was re-used. Original carb is gone.
Other details: Car has the original block, heads, intake, and starter. I have the original water pump (not insalled). The transmission and 3.36 rear end are original. There is an Ansen cast iron scattershield on the car which was installed as part of the race-prep in 1966.

Car history:
This car was bought new off the lot at Norv Boyd Chevrolet in Frankfort, Michigan in August of 1966. The owner stripped it down and prepped it for SCCA roadracing, and competed with the car at various tracks in the B Production class. The car also was the "Champ" two or three years in a row in the Empire (MI) Hillclimb. After three years he sold the car to a couple who autocrossed it, and used it for daily driving. The car passed through a couple more hands, and the front end having been tapped a few times reduced the car to "project" status. The next owner installed a new Ecklers one piece front end, got the car back together, and painted it around 1980. He sold the car after a few years to someone else. I purchased the car in 1987, sold it to my brother 1 1/2 years later, then bought it back in 2002.
